How I started?....
Well.. the whole Beginning story is on my website so I wont bore you with all that
instead start from the here & now
I had been working from home the last 8 years my own two children ( girls) are now in their teens
not needing me AS MUCH but still needing me around ( sometimes lol)
So I did alot of soul searching .. again & decided to restart my former Daycare Business
got the needed OK from Hubby & kids since they would have to * out up with* kids in the house as well
Contacted my local Child Care council, who had missed me (THAT felt good!) and set fourth on what I needed to do to get back to it!
^^^^I actually got one child thats started with me three weeks ago from those cards!!
( hes currently with his dad for the summer
)
he'll be back tho & with a little bro OR sis in toe too -- lol
SO I set fourth to find the best possible room in my home to do it - the living Rm.
Large, spacious & well we only have a love seat coffee table & tv in so moved it out to the *den*
I painted & decorated the best I could with the one income we had/have a very pretty periwinkle ( thank you little cookie for that idea)

I started with hand printing my own business cards & posting them anywhere & everywhere I could handed them out to parents i had seen in resturants even!
( very bold of me) lol
Then I printed up tons of fliers & handed them to neighbors on a saturday afternoon
^^^^which got me the current two starting this Monday
I am going to put an ad in the paper this weekend as well as hand out more of my cards when im out at garage sales
lol lol
Most of what I got to decorate, fill my daycare was from great friends/family who have children that grew out of things - from freecycle, craigslist & garage sales ( giving everything a GOOD washing, of course!
It wasnt so expensive doing it this way and it was much more FUN!!!
I wish anyone who wants to open a daycare GOOD LUCK!
other than being a MOM its the hardest most rewarding *job* ever.
and you WILL WORK!! lol
