My dd is very shy as well .. I step back let her do it on her own pace!

well some of the places dd has met friends is in a small church - not one that is over crowded but small more family orientated - maybe one that likes rock n roll since your 14 year old loves music?

Local pool?
Library?

Mall ????

am not sure .. will he be attending reg. school this fall? will he be homeschooled?

Maybe see if anyone in your area home schools would be interested in meeting for a "play date" I know thats a youngen term but ..kwim?
