Items needed

1 package of markers
1 container of any type - I used a cookie dough package that was used up
Plaster of paris

Mix the plaster mixture in the container let sit till it is starting to set up ..insert the marker lids into the plaster
let dry completely

store markers inside of this ..

My kids are sure to put the markers away now.ImageImage

That is a cool idea....Hummm I need to do this for my girls. Maybe they will stay dry and not making a mess all over the place and losing colors. I love that idea!!!Now I need a tub like that size.

I have used

diaper wipe containers - if you use them for your car put them in a baggy and use the wipe box :)

The lids stay in and you don't have to worry about dried out markers or lost lids.

some other ideas
butter tubs
cookie dough tubs
your milk jug cut down
butter dishes -they sell the plastic ones in dollar stores- these would be ok I think for thin markers
