Reindeer Ornaments- I used green construction paper to trace the child foot and brown construction paper that is folded in half and trace the child hand. I used the green foot for the body and the brown hands for the ears of Reindeer, I would draw the eyes, use goggly eyes or thumbprint for eyes. Then the nose area spread glue and sprinkle with red glitter. Hey it is Rudolph...

Reindeer Food- granola, raisins, nuts, marshmallows etc. and have some glitter in there with out the kids seeing it in a brown baggie. In the morning most of it will be gone because of the wild animals but you will see a trail of glitter on the ground. It is so cute to see the kid faces.

paper plates - are my favorite projects with little ones!

We will paint them and turn them into ornaments

example -
paint a plate Green - cut out a cap topper and glue down when the paint is dry
add glitter to your paint .. or decorate more once dry

Snowman

3 paper plates add glue and glitter to make him sparkler
make top hats, face parts, scarf and arms.. depending on the age you have precut is nice :)
glue them down into place ... and you have a big snow man - use different size plates for different effects

Winter Mouse

paint plate brown
cut out pieces to make him look more mousie - such as a cute nose and wiskers.. hat and ohh you could use a smaller plate painted same brown .. cut in half for the earts ... use hearts for the middle of the ears

yesterday we took small plates and painted them red .. they dried pretty much then we added glue and tore up tissue paper and stuck on top of them .. then we put more glue and I let the kids shake the glitter out like they had never shaked it before ..lol

these turned out super cute .. I honestly thought they were going to look like ..blaaaaaaa but they turned out cute! I am going to punch hole in the top add ribbon and call it an ornament!

An Idea from my friend Brenda ... she told me she did these so we tried them yesterday ...

Funny how to define what is a stripe to 2 and 3 year olds!

I showed them a candy cane said it has Stripes ..

we are going to paint our paper like the stripes so I gave them a red paint brush and white tag board .........and said Paint stripes!

I think my 2 year old did the best! He was the only one that thought he had "enough"
my 3 year old wanted a red paper and my 6 year old wanted nice solid lines!

Well now that they are dry I will cut candy cane shapes out of the paper

We are doing the color RED today.

All the kids were asked to wear red.

We will cut red paper

glue red tissue paper

Color using red

I haven't done it yet but am thinking of making RED snacks - cookies with red food coloring in them ..or the icing.
