Ice melting races

Ice painting - mix water and tempera paint ... and freeze let the kids paint with the ice cube

Hot and Cold - warm water vs. Ice, toasted toast vs. chilled can

My kids keep asking why the sun goes too soon... talk about light and dark, shadows, hibernation.

Another big struggle is hats and mittens ..they don't want to wear them!! talk about cold and how the head is warm and how the heat goes up through the top of the head and the hat catches all the warm to keep them warm
