Lately I've been having children leave my daycare for a variety of logical reasons. It makes me uneasy, even though I know I will be able to gain more kids. I say so, because I know have a good program and a nice set up. HEY I'm a wonderful person, they would be nuts NOT to want their child here. LOL, anyway when even I feel like I need to "bring in" more money I turn that thought around and see what kind of money I can save or deals I can do.

I haven't been able to do much shopping lately. A number of family things happened and I was sick for a couple weeks. I even closed daycare for three days.
I had to dump so many coupons, because they were past due it was painful. My box was near empty. Luckily last weeks paper had about $300 worth of coupons that in my area double in food stores (not in drug stores though) and I got them cut and filed last friday nap time.

So FINALLY having some time saturday I go off to cvs to see what damage I could do. I was very please with the result. I got a total value of $130 + in items, which INCLUDED two gallons of milk and by the time the debits and credits were done I actually walked out with 22 cents MORE than I spent. Of course this is not including gas, but I only live one mile from the store so I don't think I need to count that.
I don't know if you know what I mean by credits...cvs has a program where you get extra care bucks back to use on future items. I spend just a little over in $35 to get this rolling and by buying the right items I got over $35 worth ecb back. Okay this isn't CASH, but I will be able to use these ecbs next week when I go back. If for some reason I don't feel like doing deals I can just use them to buy things I normally would buy at the food store. It's not a loss.

Anyway here is a picture.

Oh I forgot to add. Some of you if you knew my family would think, she doesn't need BABY wash - her kids are teenagers.
Well i want to tell you the baby was is a shampo and hair wash. Big deal it says "baby". Just think about camping trips when you only want to pack one bottle. It's SOAP and soap can be used on anyone.

yep there are many people who sell their extra stuff.
On the other hand like I said it's SOAP. If I wanted to I could pour it into the pump in the bathroom for hand soap for the kids and it's a tax write off at full value.
Same goes for the band-aids. They are a tax write off at store price.

A friend of mine who does deal at a bigger level than I do, just had a rummage sale. She made just a little over $1000. For a single mother it's a huge blessing to have that extra money.

Just wanted to stop in and tell you what I've been doing as far as coupons.
Two sunday's ago there were really good ss in the paper. $330 worth. I got 20 papers for $1 each. It's really giving a savings right now.
This last week hornbachers food store has been having certain things buy $30 get $15 off next order. Between getting the $15 back and my coupons most of the til receipts have been $1 to $5. A few were $9, but I really could use the products so I felt okay about that. I'm stocked up on gogurt, gatorade, fruit roll ups, cearl bars.
Cash wise has a deal going on this week too. between my coupons and their instore deals I'mdoing fantasic. Recently I SAVED $103 and paid out $13. Stocked up on captn crunch, cearl bars, oat meal, instance cereal. I need to go back for more pancake mix and syrup that is CHEAP. LOL my cart got too full and I was running out of time, before picking my son up so I had to leave the store.

I check the expirations dates. I'm not worried about the gogurt, between my two teens and my dh AND my daycare kids it will be GONE. So sweet to be able to offer gogurt to my daycare kids and not feel that it's too expensive. The cearal has a YEAR to be used. NO problem with my daycare crowd. I can also take lots of boxes down to the lake this next summer and supply my mil cabin with breakfast foods (oatmeal, pancakes, syrup). We always have a crowd there and it would be nice to be able to chip in with something and not break the bank feeding a crowd.
